Snow Day

Today was the first real snow day of the year. We got about 5.5 inches of snow. I don't think the kids could have been anymore excited. Libby came running in my room this morning to tell me it had snowed. "Can we go play in it now?" That was 7 am this morning. I told her not right at this minute. So she hurried to her room and quickly got dressed and did her room chores so she could go out and play in the snow. Maybe if it snowed everday she'd get ready that quickly every day!

The kids' favorite thing to do was to run alongside the snowblower so that the snow would blow on them! Thank goodness for our 'new' snowblower (it's a hand-me-down). It's wonderful. I swear it only snows when Chad is out-of-town; and last year I had to shovel it. The snowblower was much better!

Libby's other favorite thing to do is eat the snow! She's done that since the first time she could walk in the snow. Bon appetit!
